What We Do
The Kkachi Foundation is an American organization based in Connecticut that provides a travel & visitation program to the United States for students living at a children’s home in South Korea.
We host 4-8 high school students for a 10-day program every summer, where we visit various cultural interest sites in New England, listen to testimonies from Korean Americans, practice English, and provide a taste of general American life.
The most impressive activity in the United States is when I went to see whales by boat. I heard that whales are difficult to see, so I thought I wouldn’t be able to see them, but I saw them so easily, and it was really amazing to see them up close.
I will remember my trip to America until right before I die. These were the happiest 10 days of my life.

Our Mission
The primary goal of our program is to motivate and inspire these children with confidence that success and a joy-filled, hopeful future are within their reach.
Most, if not all of the children have never left South Korea, and visiting the U.S. seems like a pipedream. Having an opportunity to live here for 10 days and also meet Korean Americans working and living the United States completely changes their perspective.
This experience opens their eyes to the fact that through prayer, desire, and a pursuit of learning & education, they can create a life for themselves and their future families, whether it’s in South Korea, the United States or somewhere else in the world.

You Can Make a Difference!
While a significant portion of our program is funded by our founders, we rely on the support of compassionate individuals like you to help us fulfill our mission. Our visitation program provides invaluable experiences for these children, opening doors to new opportunities and expanding their horizons.
We truly value all kinds of contribution, whether financial donations to cover travel and activity costs or other forms of support, as they enable every student to engage fully.
